The Oakland Raiders announced Friday that they’ve placed RB Isaiah Crowell on injured reserve.
This move was expected after he suffered an Achilles tear a few days ago.
Crowell, 26, originally signed on with the Browns as an undrafted free agent out of Alabama State back in 2014. He played out his rookie contract and re-signed with the Browns as a restricted free agent.
Crowell departed in free agency last year for a three-year, $12 million contract that included $6 million guaranteed with the Jets. He was released this offseason and later signed a one-year, $2.5 million deal with the Raiders.
In 2018, Crowell appeared in 13 games for the Jets and rushed for 685 yards on 143 carries (4.8 YPC) to go along with 21 receptions for 152 yards receiving and six total touchdowns.
