According to Tom Pelissero, the Raiders are placing third-round LB Tanner Muse on injured reserve.

Muse is expected to return at some point this year but he’s looking at about a month-long absence due to a toe injury.

Teams can bring players back off injured reserve after three weeks instead of eight this year.

Muse, 23, was a three-year starter at Clemson and earned first-team All-ACC honors last season. The Raiders selected him with the No. 100 pick in this year’s draft.

He signed a projected four-year, $4,499,404 contract that includes an $832,295 signing bonus.

During his four-year college career, Muse recorded 191 total tackles, 10 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, seven interceptions, 14 pass defenses, one fumble recovery, one forced fumble, and scored two defensive touchdowns.
