According to Kevin Bolinger, Raiders RB Josh Jacobs has been arrested and charged with driving under the influence following a single-car crash Monday morning.

The accident happened at the Las Vegas airport at 4:42 AM and Jacobs was taken to the local hospital after police suspected impairment.

He has a court date set for March 8. This opens Jacobs up to discipline and a potential suspension from the NFL for violating its substance policy.

Jacobs’ lawyers released a statement disputing the charges via Vincent Bosnignore:

“No complaint has been filed against our client and there are no blood test results to support a suggestion of impairment. We intend to enter a not-guilty plea on behalf of Mr. Jacobs if he is ever charged.”

Jacobs, 22, was selected with the No. 24 overall pick by the Raiders out of Alabama in 2019. He later agreed to a four-year, $11,933,394 rookie contract that included a $6,698,832 signing bonus.

The Raiders will have a fifth-year option to pick up on Jacobs for the 2023 season.

In 2020, Jacobs appeared in 15 games for the Raiders and rushed for 1,065 yards on 273 carries (3.9 YPC) and 12 touchdowns to go along with 33 receptions for 238 yards receiving.

  1. Alcohol, ruins people, careers, families, kills innocent people but it’s cool, no reason to outlaw it, right? Plenty of good drunks, right?

And with all that sponsorship money, and all those drinkers across the nation, I guess some lives simply don’t matter, we gots to get our drink on.
