Raiders Reportedly Interested In NT Dan Williams

According to Adam Caplan of ESPN, the Raiders are a potential option for free agent NT Dan Williams.

There have been reports that Oakland is close to an agreement with DT Terrance Knighton, but it sounds like they could be somewhat premature.

Williams would be a solid fallback option for the Raiders if talks break down with Knighton or if he prefers to sign with a different.

The Broncos and Lions have also come up as potential options for Williams.

Williams, 27, is a former first round pick of the Cardinals back in 2010. He played out his five-year, $8,985,000 rookie contract that included $6,880,000 guaranteed and is now in position to be one of best available defensive tackles in this year’s market.

Last year, Williams appeared in all 16 games for the Cardinals and recorded 32 tackles, one sack, and a pass defense. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 14 defensive tackle out of 81 qualifying players.

We have Franklin listed as the No. 27 player in our Top 100 Free Agents list.
