The Oakland Raiders officially signed nine players to futures contracts on Tuesday for the 2018 season.
The full list includes:
- DE Fadol Brown
- WR Keon Hatcher
- CB Darius Hillary
- RB Elijah Hood
- CB Tevin Mitchel
- LS Bradley Northnagel
- DE Joby Saint Fleur
- G Jordan Simmons
- DT Shakir Soto
Futures deals are essentially camp invites that will give players the opportunity to compete for roster spots during offseason workouts and training camp.
Soto, 23, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent out of Pittsburgh back in May. He was set to make base salaries of $465,000 and $555,000 over the first two years of the contract when the Broncos cut him loose coming out of the preseason.
The Raiders signed him to their practice squad last month.
During his college career, Soto recorded 120 tackles, 18 tackles for a loss, 7.5 sacks and a pass defense over the course of four seasons and 42 games.
