The Oaklandย Raiders announced Saturday that they’ve signed LB Kyle Wilber to a contract.
The Raiders and new HC John Gruden are clearly focused on upgrading their special teams, as they’ve now signed Wilber, a new long snapper and a punter to compete with Marquette King.
Wilber, 27, is a former fourth-round pick of the Cowboys back in 2012. He played out his rookie contract in 2016 before testing the open market and returning to Dallas on aย two-year contract worthย $3.25 million.
Wilber was once again on the open market as an unrestricted free agent.
In 2017, Wilber appeared in all 16 games for the Cowboys while largely contributing on special teams and recorded 10 tackles and a forced fumble.
