The Oakland Raiders announced Monday that they’ve signed rookie RB James Butler to a contract.
Butler wound up going undrafted this past May out of Iowa. Butler tried out for the Redskins during their rookie minicamp but wasn’t signed to a contract afterward.
This will be his first opportunity with an NFL team.
During his college career at Nevada and Iowa, Butler rushed for 3,712 yards on 699 (5.3 YPC) to go along with 53 receptions for 485 yards receiving and 31 total touchdowns over the course of 47 games.
