The Oakland Raiders announced Tuesday that they’ve signed rookie TE Jake McGee to a contract.
McGee, 24, signed on with the Panthers as an undrafted free agent out of Florida back in May. However, he his stay in Carolina was brief, as they waived him with the injury designation to make room for receivers LaRon Byrd and Tobais Palmer.
A day after McGee reverted to injured reserve, the Panthers cut him loose with an injury settlement.
During his college career between Virginia and Florida, McGee recorded 112 receptions for 1,150 yards receiving and 11 touchdowns.
