Raiders Signing LB Dakota Allen Off Rams’ PS, Place LB Marquel Lee On IR

The Oakland Raiders officially signing LB Dakota Allen off of the Rams’ practice squad and placed LB Marquel Lee on injured reserve. 

Beyond that, the Raiders are expected to promote LB LB Justin Phillips to their active roster with linebackers Vontaze Burfict, Nick Morrow and Marquel Lee all injured.

Allen, 23, was selected in the seventh round of this year’s draft by the Rams. He agreed to a four-year, $2,594,576 contract that included a $74,576 signing bonus.

However, the Rams waived Allen coming out of the preseason and he later signed on to their practice squad. The Raiders would later add him to their active roster. 

During his college career at Texas Tech, Allen recorded 249 tackles, two sacks, a forced fumble, three recoveries, four interceptions, a defensive touchdown and seven pass defenses over the course of three seasons and 34 games.
