Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Raiders and RB Jalen Richard have agreed to terms on a contract extension that is expected to be finalized in the near future.
The deal is for two years and $7 million, according to Rapoport, with potentially as much as $8 million in incentives. Richard will also make $4.6 million guaranteed.
Richard, 26, wound up signing on with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent out of Southern Miss back in 2016. He played out the final year of his three-year, $1,620,000 contract.
The Raiders tendered him a contract as a restricted free agent last year and he was set to be an unrestricted free agent this offseason.
In 2019, Richard appeared in all 16 games for the Raiders and rushed for 145 yards on 39 carries (3.7 YPC) to go along with 36 receptions for 323 yards receiving and no touchdowns. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 40 running back out of 58 qualifying players.
