Raiders Tried Out RBs LeGarrette Blount & Bo Scarbrough

Field Yates of ESPN reports that the Raiders brought in RBs LeGarrette Blount and Bo Scarbrough for tryouts on Wednesday.

This is the first reported interest in Blount in over a year.

Blount, 32, originally signed on with the Titans as an undrafted free agent out of Oregon back in 2010. He was unable to make the Titans’ 53-man roster during his rookie season but was later claimed off of waivers by the Buccaneers.

Tampa Bay elected to trade Blount to the Patriots in return for Jeff Demps and a late-round pick after three years. Blount had a brief stint with the Steelers before he was cut loose during the 2013 season and later re-signed by the Patriots.

Blount spent the 2017 season with the Eagles and joined the Lions on a one-year deal last year.

For his career, Blount has rushed for 6,306 yards on 1,495 (4.2 YPC) to go along with 64 receptions for 454 yards receiving and 58 total touchdowns over the course of nine seasons and 132 games.

Scarbrough, 23, is a former seventh-round pick of the Cowboys back in 2018. Dallas elected to cut him loose coming out of the preseason last year and he later signed on to the Cowboys’ practice squad.

After a brief stint with the Jaguars, Scarbrough was signed to the Seahawks’ active roster late last season. He was, unfortunately, waived by Seattle coming out of the preseason.

During his three-year college career at Alabama, Scarbrough rushed for 1,512 yards on 267 carries (5.7 YPC) to go along with 21 receptions for 131 yards receiving and 20 touchdowns over the course of 31 games.
