The Raiders announced Sunday they’ve waived RB Chris Warren and signed RB James Butler in a corresponding move.
This is somewhat of an unexpected shakeup, as Warren led the NFL in rushing last preseason.
Warren, 23, signed with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent out of Texas in 2018. Warren was placed on the Raiders’ injured reserve list at the end of the preseason.
During his three-year college career, Warren rushed 204 times for 1150 yards and 13 touchdowns. He also caught 23 passes for 242 yards and two touchdowns in 24 career games.
