Raiders Waive S Tony Dye, LB Eric Harper & DE Chris McCoy

 

The Oakland Raiders announced the release of S Tony Dye, LB Eric Harper and DE Chris McCoy on Wednesday.

Dye, 24, signed with the Bengals as an undrafted free agent out of UCLA back in 2012 and later joined the team’s practice squad. He would last a little over year before he was cut loose by Cincinnati.

Oakland signed him to a future/reserve contract in January, but apparently feel better about their other options.

McCoy, , was taken in the seventh round of the 2010 draft by the Miami Dolphins. He has bounced around a lot during his short time in the NFL playing for other teams including the Texans, Steelers and Eagles.

Harper, 26, signed with the Raiders back in December of last year, but there really isn’t a lot of information about him.
