Field Yates reports that the Raiders have waived WR Jalin Marshall on Thursday.
The Raiders just signed Marshall to a contract two ago, so this is a bit of a surprise.
Marshall, 23, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Jets as an undrafted free agent out of Ohio State back in 2016. He managed to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason.
New York elected to waive Marshall during the 2017 season and later signed him to their practice squad. However, the Jets moved on from him last April and he eventually signed on with the Orlando Apollos of the AAF.
The Raiders signed Marshall earlier in the week.
In 2016, Marshall appeared in 10 games for the Jets and caught 14 passes for 162 yards receiving and two touchdowns. He also contributed 324 kick return yards and another 100 punt return yards last season.
