Raiders Waive WR Marcell Ateman

The Oakland Raiders have placed WR Marcell Ateman on waivers Tuesday to make room for newly acquired WR Zay Jones.

Ateman, 25, is a former seventh-round pick of the Raiders back in 2018. He agreed to a four-year, $2.55 million contract, but was waived by the Raiders coming out of the preseason last year. 

Oakland later signed Ateman to their practice squad after he cleared waivers before promoting him to their active roster. 

For his career, Ateman has appeared in eight games and caught 15 passes for 154 yards receiving and one touchdown for the Raiders.
