Albert Breer reports that the Raiders have a private workout set up with Oklahoma QB Kyler Murray on Monday in Dallas.
Breer adds that the Raiders are then scheduled to travel to Columbus to work out Ohio State QB Dwayne Haskins on Tuesday.
While the Raiders have maintained that they view Derek Carr as their franchise quarterback, they’ve also made it clear that they’re going to do their due diligence on quarterback prospects leading up to the draft.
Murray weighed in at 5-foot-10, 207 pounds at the Combine, which is similar to Russell Wilson and helped to alleviate some concerns.
Murray made the decision to pursue an NFL career a few weeks ago, despite being drafted by the Oakland A’s last year. He’s now in the discussion to be a top-10 pick and could possibly go No. 1 overall.
During this three-year college career at Texans A&M and Oklahoma, Murray completed 68.7 percent of his passes for 5,098 yards, 48 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions. He also rushed for 1,369 and 12 touchdowns over the course of 28 games.
Haskins, 21, is one of the top quarterback prospects in this year’s draft class and could end up being a top-6 pick when all is said and done.
During his college career, Haskins has thrown for 5,145 yards while completing 70.2 percent of his passes to go along with 51 touchdowns and nine interceptions over the course of two seasons and 21 games. He has also rushed for 208 yards and four touchdowns.
