Raiders WR Brandon LaFell Out For Season With Achilles Tear

Raiders WR Brandon LaFell suffered an Achilles tear during Sunday’s game and is out for the season, according to Ian Rapoport.

All indications were that this was a serious injury for LaFell, so this doesn’t come as a big surprise.

You can expect the Raiders to place him on injured reserve in the coming days and add someone to their roster.

LaFell, 32, is a former third-round pick of the Panthers back in 2010. He spent four seasons in Carolina before joining the Patriots as a free agent back in 2014.

The Bengals signed LaFell in 2016 and brought him to a two-year, $9 million contract that included $3.3 million guaranteed the following year. Unfortunately, Cincinnati released him coming out of the preseason and he later caught on with the Raiders.

In 2018, LaFell has appeared in five games and caught 10 passes for 106 yards receiving and one touchdown.
