Goff’s fifth-year option will be worth $22.783 million and will become fully guaranteed at the start of the 2020 league year.
It’s worth mentioning the fifth-year option is guaranteed for injury only and won’t prevent the two parties from working on an extension in the next year or so.
Goff, 24, was the No. 1 overall pick by the Rams out of Cal in 2016. He signed a four-year deal worth $27.9 million.
In 2018, Goff started all 16 games for the Rams. He completed 364 out of 561 passes (64.9 completion percentage) for 4688 yards, 32 touchdowns and eight interceptions. He also rushed for 108 yards and two touchdowns.
