Rams Restructure OT Rob Havenstein’s Contract, Pick Up $1.56M Of Cap Room

According to Ian Rapoport, the Rams have restructured the contract of OT Rob Havenstein

Field Yates reports that the Rams specifically converted $2.34 million of Havenstein’s base salary into a signing bonus, which created $1.56 million of cap space in 2020.

According to Over The Cap, Havenstein was scheduled to make a $3.25 million base salary with a $3.75 million roster bonus in 2020.

Havenstein, 27, is a former second-round pick of the Rams back in 2015. He was entering the final year of his four-year, $3.97 million rookie contract that included $2.197 million guaranteed when he signed a four-year, $32.5 million extension before the start of the 2018 season.

In 2019, Havenstein started nine games for the Rams at right tackle and was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 75 offensive tackle out of 79 qualifying players.
