The St Louis Rams needed to add a better wide receiver option than they had last season. There’s no point in having a great quarterback prospect if he doesn’t have the weapons to exploit.
Mike Sims-Walker himself has confirmed that he’s signing with the Rams.
While Sims-Walker has potential and size, he’s not a legitimate No. 1 wide out yet. The Rams have brought in Josh McDaniels to implement a new offensive scheme and he’s done a good job with players like Randy Moss and Brandon Llyod so there’s a chance that Sims-Walker could be a valuable asset for them in the upcoming season.
This move may indicate that the Rams are going to pass on WR Mark Clayton.
