Rams WR Stedman Bailey Suspended 4 Games

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Rams WR Stedman Bailey is being suspended four games for violating NFL’s Substance Abuse Policy.

  • According to Schefter, Bailey withdrew his appeal on Monday.

This explains why the Rams bring in free agent receivers Wes Welker, Hakeem Nicks, and Vincent Brown for tryouts on Monday.

It’s worth mentioning that Bailey severed a four-game suspension last year for violating the performance enhancing drugs policy.

Bailey, 24, is in the third year of his four-year, $2.736 million contract that included a $527,400 signing bonus. He stands to make base salaries of $601,234 and $690,123 over the remainder of the contract.

This season, Bailey has caught 12 passes for 182 yards receiving and one touchdown over the course of eight games for the Rams.
