ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Randy Moss will retire rather than return for another season. Schefter mentions that Moss’s agent Joel Segal said that he’s made the decision after weighing his options and offers.
There really hasn’t been much interest in him throughout the offseason and the New York Jets have been the one team that he would have considered signing with. Obviously the signing of Plaxico Burress impacted Moss’s chances of joining the Jets but it was by no means a certainty.
Moss retires with the second most touchdowns and No. 5 in total yards.
