The Baltimore Ravens announced Thursday that CBย Tavon Young did, in fact, suffer a torn ACL during OTAs.
Young went down with a knee injury and later indicated via his Twitter account that he was serious.
Coming back stronger than ever, GOD got me, thanks for the prayers
— Tavon Young (@NLtyoung) June 1, 2017
It’s likely the Ravens will place him on injured reserve in the coming days and look to add another player to their roster.
Young, 24, is a former fourth-round pick of the Ravens back in 2016. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $2.945 million contract and stands to make base salaries of $603,500 and $728,000 over the next two years.
In 2016, Young appeared in all 16 games and recorded 53 tackles, two interceptions, a fumble recovery and eight passes.ย Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 26 cornerback out of 111 qualifying players.
