Ravens Claim WR Vince Mayle Off Waivers From Cowboys

Field Yates of ESPN reports that the Ravens have claimed WR Vince Mayle off of waivers from the Cowboys on Friday.

Mayle, 25, was taken in the fourth round of last year’s NFL Draft by the Browns. However, he was unable to make the team’s 53-man roster coming out of the preseason and later signed to the Cowboys’ practice squad.

Dallas promoted Mayle to their active roster a few times last year but elected to cut him loose at the start of the 2016 season. Mayle was later signed to their practice squad before being called up over a month ago.

The Cowboys waived him on Thursday to make room for an offensive lineman.

In 2016, Mayle has been active for six games but hasn’t recorded a statistic.
