It’s been widely expected that the Baltimore Ravens are going to use their franchise tag on RB Ray Rice in the next few days and his agent didn’t do much to dispel the idea.
“The meeting went fine,” said Rice‘s agent Todd France, per Aaron Wilson. “We obviously know the tag is coming, but we will continue to have open dialogue.”
Rice was said to be looking for a deal close to that of Adrian Peterson but there’s a chance that he’s lowered his asking in the weeks since that report came out. There’s still a chance that the two sides will continue to work on a deal in the coming months but the Ravens will have to address some other positions before a long-term deal is in place.
