Ravens Considering A Possible Move Up For Oklahoma LT Lane Johnson?

Mike Preston of the Baltimore Sun reports that the Ravens will keep their eye on what happens with Oklahoma LT Lane Johnson. Preston adds that Baltimore could consider a possible move up for him if the cost is “reasonable.”

The Ravens have 12 picks to work with and a clear need at left tackle, even though a few of these picks are compensatory selections and can’t be included in a trade. Johnson is widely considered to be a top-ten player, so it would be a very costly move for a team to move up from No. 32 overall and into the earlier portion round one. On top of that, Baltimore could use some additional help at a number of positions, so it seems more likely that would explore some different options.

Free agent LT Bryant McKinnie is still an option for Baltimore, but they probably won’t revisit the idea re-signing him until after the draft.

We have Johnson going to the Lions at No. 5 overall in our recently updated 2013 NFL Mock Draft.
