According to Ian Rapoport, the Ravens are expected to sign free-agent TE Jerell Adams.
Baltimore needed a boost to the back end of its depth chart at tight end after learning UDFA TE Jacob Breeland likely wouldn’t be able to play in 2020.
The Ravens have also expressed interest in other veteran tight ends like Delanie Walker and Jordan Reed, so it’s unclear how this affects that.
Adams, 27, is a former sixth-round pick of the Giants back in 2016. He spent two years in New York before he was waived coming out of the preseason.
The Texans later signed Adams to their practice squad before bringing him back on a futures contract last January. He was on and off of Houston’s roster last season before joining the Saints for a short stint on the practice squad.
In 2017, Adam appeared in all 16 games for the Giants and caught eight passes for 92 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
