Ravens Have “Sweetened” Offer To C.J. Mosley, Jets & Others Likely Offering More

According to Jeff Zrebiec, the Ravens want to keep ILB C.J. Mosley and have sweetened their offer to him.

However, sources have told Zrebiec that there is still a gap in the Ravens’ offer and what the Jets and possibly other teams are offering.

Prior reports have said that the Browns, Jets, Lions, Colts, Eagles, and Redskins are all likely to be in on Mosley, who will clearly get a massive contract when all is said and done.

The Ravens made the decision to pass on franchising Mosley last week, paving the way for him to test the open market. It would have cost Baltimore over $15 million fully guaranteed to franchise Mosley.

Mosley, 26, is a former first-round pick of the Ravens back in 2014. He played out the final year of his four-year, $8,788,002 rookie contract before the Ravens picked up his fifth-year option last year.

Mosley made a base salary of $8,718,000 for the 2018 season and is now in line to be an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

In 2018, Mosley appeared in 15 games for the Ravens and recorded 105 tackles, a half sack, an interception and five pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 22 receiver out of 93 qualifying players.

We have him featured in our Top 100 – 2019 NFL Free Agents list.
