Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports that the Ravens are scheduled to host free agent DT Gerald McCoy for a visit on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Dan Graziano reports that the Browns have remained in contact with McCoy since his visit to Cleveland last week and remain hopeful they can sign him, despite his visit with the Ravens.
McCoy returned to Florida to spend Memorial Day weekend with his family.
One recent report said that McCoy had both the Browns and Ravens on his short list of teams that is believed to include three or four different franchises.
Stroud reported last night that 10 NFL teams have expressed interest in McCoy since he was released by the Buccaneers and he has received offers as high as $11 million per year from interested teams.
We’ve seen several teams linked to McCoy in recent days including the Panthers, Colts, Bengals, Patriots, Ravens, Saints, and Falcons.
McCoy, 31, is a former first-round pick of the Buccaneers back in 2010. He was in the fifth year of his seven-year, $95.2 million contract and set to make a base salary of $13 million in 2019 when the Buccaneers released him.
In 2018, McCoy appeared in 14 games for the Buccaneers and recorded 28 tackles, six sacks, and a pass defense. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 28 interior defender out of 112 qualifying players.
