The Ravens previously declined to tender Jean-Baptiste as a restricted free agent, but decided to bring him back after a strong preseason in 2018.
Jean-Baptiste, 27, is a former second-round pick of the Saints back in 2014. He lasted just over a year in New Orleans before he was waived at the start of the 2015 season and later signed to the Lions’ practice squad.
The Seahawks signed him towards the end of the 2015 season and brought him back on a future/reserve contract. However, Seattle declined to tender him a contract as a restricted free agent in 2017.
The Chiefs later signed him to a contract before cutting him loose. The Jaguars signed him to a contract a month later before waiving him coming out of the preseason.
Jean-Baptiste later signed on to the Ravens’ practice squad.
In 2017, Jean-Baptiste appeared in one game for the Ravens, recording one tackle.
