Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sunย reports that the Ravens are re-signing veteran CB Derek Cox to a contract just a few days after they cut him loose.

  • According to Wilson, Cox had drawn interest from an AFC South, but he elected to re-up withย the Ravens.

Cox, 27, was a free agent bust signingย made by the Chargersย last season. Cox receivedย aย four-year contract worth $20 million that included $10.25 million guaranteed from San Diego, but was released after one season.

The Vikings took a chance on him a few weeks after he was released by the Chargers, but he was released lastย Monday as they began trimming their roster to 75 players.

Last year, Cox appeared in all 16 games, but totaled justย 38 tacklesย and an interception.ย Pro Football Focusย rated Cox as the No. 104 cornerback in the league out of 110 qualifying players last year.
