Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun reports that the Ravens haveย restructured cornerback Lardarius Webb‘s contract.
- According to Jason La Canfora, Webb has agreed to reduce his 2015 salary from $8 million to $6 million.
- Wilson mentions that Webb will makeย $18 million over next threeย years.
There wasย talk for several months now that Webb could be on the chopping block, but it appears as though the two parties were able to come to some sort of agreement to keep him in Baltimore for at least one more year.
Webb, 29, had three years remaining on his six-year, $52.742 million contractย thatย included a $10 millionย guaranteed. He stands to make base salaries ofย $8 million (2015-2016) and $8.5 million (2017) over the course of the agreement.
In 2014, Webb appeared in 13 games and recorded 46 tackles, one interception and eight pass defenses for the Ravens. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 78 player out of 108 qualifying players.
