Pro Football Talk reports that the Baltimore Ravens have signed veteran RB Ricky Williams to a two-year $4 million deal.
The Ravens released Willis McGahee last week so the addition of No. 2 running back appeared to coming at some point in time. Williams was the best available option that was still on the market so the addition will allow them to have a similar running attack as they’ve had in recent years.
Ricky averaged 4.2 yards-per-carry in 16 games for Miami last season so he should be more than capable of handling the 100 carries that the team gave to McGahee last year. Williams should also serve as the teams goal line back.
