Ravens Sign RB Tyler Ervin To PS, Release DB Makinton Dorleant

The Baltimore Ravens announced Wednesday that they’ve signed RB Tyler Ervin to their practice squad and released DB Makinton Dorleant from the unit.

Ervin, 25, is a former fourth-round pick of the Texans back in 2016. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $2.887 million contract and was set to earn a base salary of $630,000 this season.

Ervin appeared in four games during his rookie season before landing on injured reserve with a torn patellar tendon. The Texans recently waived him.

In 2018, Ervin has appeared in nine games for the Texans and recorded three receptions for 35 yards receiving and no touchdowns, to go along with 253 kickoff return yards and 175 yards as a punt returner.
