Adam Schefter reports that the Ravens are signing free-agent DE Derek Wolfe to a one-year deal worth up to $6 million.
Earlier this month, it was reported that Wolfe wanted to finish his career with the Broncos and also drew interest from the Cardinals and Bengals. (NFLTR)
Troy Renck mentioned that Wolfe’s preference was to re-sign with Denver but wanted to keep an open mind after testing the open market, so it appears he received a preferrable offer from Baltimore.
Wolfe, 30, is a former second-round pick of the Broncos back in 2012. He just finished the final year of his four-year, $36.7 million contract that included $17.5 million guaranteed and made a base salary of $8 million for the 2019 season.
In 2019, Wolfe appeared in 12 games for the Broncos and recorded 34 total tackles, seven sacks, one forced fumble and one pass defense. He was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 46 interior defender out of 113 qualifying players.
We had him included in our Top 100 – 2020 NFL Free Agents list.
