Ravens Signing DL Calais Campbell To Two-Year, $27M Deal

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Ravens are finalizing a new two-year, $27 million contract with DL Calais Campbell, whom they acquired in a trade with the Jaguars.

Rapoport adds that the contract will include $20 million guaranteed and should be done at some point in the near future.

The trade can’t be completed until the start of the 2020 league year.

Campbell, 33, is a former second-round pick of the Cardinals back in 2008. He spent nine years in Arizona before signing a four-year, $60 million contract that included $30 million guaranteed with the Jaguars for the 2017 season.

Campbell was set to make a base salary of $15 million for the 2020 season.

In 2019, Campbell appeared in all 16 games for the Jaguars and recorded 56 tackles, 6.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, a recovery, a defensive touchdown and a pass defense. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 2 edge defender out of 107 qualifying players.
