The Baltimore Ravens announced Thursday that they’ve signed WR/KR Griff Whalen to a contract and released CB Sheldon Price and G Tony Bergstrom.
Whalen, 27, signed on with the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of Stanford back in 2012. He spent f0ur years in Indianapolis before he was placed on injured reserve and later waived from the list back in January of last year.
The Dolphins later signed him to a contract only to cut him loose at the start of last season. Whalen had brief stints with the Chargers and Patriots last year. Whalen signed on with the Ravens this past July but was among their final roster cuts.
In 2016, Whalen appeared in eight games and caught two passes for 22 yards receiving and no touchdowns for the Chargers.
