The NFL has suspended Redskins CB Cedric Griffin for four games without pay due to the player’s use of performance enhancing drugs, per The Washington Post.
Griffin’s suspension will take him out of the rest of the season but he’ll be able to be activated for the playoffs.
Rookie Richard Crawford, a seldom used cornerback who saw time when Griffin was injured at the beginning of the season, figures to step in as Washington’s third corner.
