Tom Schad of the Washington Times, citing a source, reports that the Washington Redskins have cut P Blake Clingan.
Clingan, 25, was an undrafted free agent out of UCF. He signed a one-year contract with the Lions last year, but was released at the start of the season after failing to beat out P Sam Martin for the job.
It looks as though veteran P Robert Malone – who spent the last two seasons with the Jets – will win the punting job in Washington.
