Mike Reiss of ESPN Boston reports that the Redskins are meeting with free agent RB Stevan Ridley on Tuesday.
Recent reports have said that Ridley was likely to visit with another team this week, but there was no mention of the Redskins’ interest before this.
Ridley has already met with the Jets and Dolphins, so there is a chance he could decide on his next team at some point in the near future.
Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News previously reported that Ridley is likely to end up signing with either the Jets or the Dolphins, who he has also met with in recent days.
Ridley, 26, played out his four-year, $2,953,500 rookie contract that included $1,023,000 guaranteed and is one of the best available running backs remaining in the free agent market.
In 2014, Ridley ran for 340 yards on 94 carries (3.6 YPC) to go along with four receptions for 20 yards receiving and two total touchdowns over the course of six games.
