Redskins “Intrigued” In Texas A&M QB Ryan Tannehill

ESPN.com‘s Pat Yasinskas reports that Texas A&M QB Ryan Tannehill had his walking boot removed after undergoing foot surgery and ultimately missing the Senior Bowl.

This is great news for the quarterback prospect as he’s expected to be completely healthy by the end of March. Tannehill is considered to be third best quarterback in the years draft so proving that he’s fully healed in the coming week should help is draft stock out considerably.

Tannehill will miss most of the next weeks’ Scouting Combine but he’ll have an opportunity to showcase his abilities on his pro day next month.

The Washington Post reports that the Redskins are “intrigued” by Tannehill.

Mike Shanahan and his staff coached the South squad at the Senior Bowl so it’s unfortunate that he didn’t have the opportunity to work with him directly or we could be hearing more rumors about the Redskins possibly trading down in the draft to get him, instead of moving up to take Robert Griffin III.
