Redskins HC Bill Callahan announced Friday that they’re placing OLB Ryan Kerrigan on injured reserve with a calf injury he suffered last week.
Callahan added that their record had nothing to do with Kerrigan going on injured reserve, and this is a serious injury, per JP Finlay.
The Redskins have also signed TE Caleb Wilson off of the Cardinals’ practice squad, per John Keim.
Kerrigan, 31, is a former first-round pick of the Redskins back in 2011. He played out his rookie contract with the Redskins before agreeing to a five-year extension, $57.5 million extension back in 2015.
Kerrigan stands to make a base salary of $11.5 million in 2020.
In 2019, Kerrigan appeared in 12 games for the Redskins and recorded 25 tackles, 5.5 sacks, a forced fumble and a pass defense.
