The Washington Redskins promoted OLB Houston Bates from their practice squad and placed OLB Jackson Jeffcoatย on season-ending injured reserve.

Bates, 24, signed with the Redskins as an undrafted free agent out of Louisiana Tech back in May. He was among the team’s final roster cuts at the start of the season, but was later added to their practice squad.
Jeffcoat, 24, originally signed on with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of Texas back in May of last year. However, he was cut last year and later signed to the Redskins’ practice squad in September of last year.
This season,ย Jeffcoat appeared in six games and recorded four tackles and a forced fumble for Washington.
