Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Redskins could be in danger of losing quarterbacks coach Kevin O’Connell, who happens to be Chip Kelly’s “top target” for UCLA’s offensive coordinator position.
Rapoport adds that any deal between UCLA and O’Connell wouldn’t happen until after the offseason. However, Rapoport says that this would be a difficult position to turn down.
O’Connell, 32, is a former third-round pick of the Patriots back in 2008. After five years in the NFL, O’Connell was hired by the Browns as their quarterbacks coach in 2015.
O’Connell spent one year with the 49ers before the Redskins hired him as their quarterbacks coach last year.
