According to Ian Rapoport, Redskins RB Derrius Guice is likely to miss some time with a knee injury.
Rapoport says Guice is set to undergo an MRI to the other knee than the one he tore the ACL in last preseason. The team is hopeful Guice can avoid surgery.
Rapoport also clarified the current injury is to the same knee Guice hurt in college.
Guice had worked his way back to health despite numerous complications and played for the first time in the regular season Sunday against the Eagles. He had 10 carries for 18 yards.
Guice, 22, is a former second-round pick of the Redskins back in 2018. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $4,541,936 contract that includes a $1,383,224 signing bonus.
During his three-year college career at LSU, Guice rushed for 3,074 yards on 471 carries (6.5 YPC) to go along with 32 receptions for 250 yards receiving 32 total touchdowns over the course 35 games.
