Redskins Re-Sign RB Tim Hightower

Tim Hightower has announced that he’s re-signed with the Washington Redskins, via his twitter account.

Washington had shown previous interest in re-signing him, so this isn’t exactly the most surprising move by Mike Shanahan, especially when you considering his tendency for having a stable of running backs on his roster. Hightower will have to fight for carries with Roy Helu and Evan Royster next season, but the Redskins have been high on what he brings to their offense.

Hightower worked out for the Patriots, but they chose to sign Joseph Addai instead.
