Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports that the Redskins are re-signing CB Will Blackmon to a two-year contract.
Recent reports had said there was mutual interest regarding Blackmon returning to Washington, but he wanted to explore his other options before deciding.
In the end, it appears as though the Redskins were his best option.
Blackmon, 31, wound up signing a one-year contract with the Redskins last year after traveling around the league during his eight-year NFL career. He was testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent.
In 2015, Blackmon appeared in 15 games and recorded 49 tackles, one sack, two interceptions, three forced fumbles, two recoveries and six pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 82 cornerback out of 111 qualifying players.
