Redskins Re-Signing LB Zach Brown To Three-Year Deal Worth Up To $24M

JP Finlay is reporting that the Redskins have agreed to terms with ILB Zach Brown on Thursday.

  • According to Ian Rapoport, Brown receives a three-year contract worth up to $24 million from the Redskins.

Brown reportedly had interest from the Raiders as well, but it looks like a return to Washington was ultimately his best opportunity.

Brown, 28, is a former second-round pick of the Titans back in 2012. He finished his four-year rookie contract with Tennessee before signing a one-year, $1,250,000 contract with the Bills as an unrestricted free agent in 2016.

After finding less interest than anticipated, Brown agreed to a one-year, $2.3 million contract with the Redskins. He was once again testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

In 2017, Brown appeared in 13 games and recorded 127 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and two pass defenses for the Redskins. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 52 linebacker out of 87 qualifying players.

We had him featured in our Top 50 Available 2018 NFL Free Agents list.
