Redskins Sign Robert Griffin III To A Four-Year Contract

The Washington Redskins have finally reached an agreement with No. 2 overall pick Robert Griffin III on a four-year deal worth $21.119 million.

Griffin receives a fully guaranteed contract that includes a $13.7 million signing bonus. Washington included a team option in the fifth year of his contract, which seems like a good bet to be picked up, assuming that Griffin lives up to the billing.

RGIII becomes one of only a handful of early first-round picks to sign, but negotiations will most likely pick up in the coming days for the other players.
