Redskins Sign Supplemental CB Adonis Alexander To Rookie Deal

The Washington Redskins announced Friday that they’ve officially signed supplemental CB Adonis Alexander to a rookie contract.

Washington selected Alexander in the sixth round of this year’s Supplemental draft, which means they will use their 2019 sixth-round pick on him.

On Tuesday, Mike Garafolo reported that NFL teams have received a clean drug test from Alexander that was administered this week and he had passed tests over the last eight months.

At his Pro Day, Alexander measured 6020/195 pounds and posted a 40-yard dash time of 4.61 to go along with 7.18 (3 cone), 4.37 (short shuttle), 35.5 inches (vertical) and 10-feet-4-inch (broad jump).

Alexander played three seasons at Virginia Tech and recorded 125 tackles, 4.5 tackles for a loss, one sack, seven interceptions, 17 pass defenses, and a forced fumble over the course of 32 games.
